Hawkins Elementary School -

Yesterday, Lana Moore and Robbie Ansary representatives from TVA, Jennifer Dale with Holston Electric Coop, and special dignitaries Michael Hensley-US Senator Marsha Blackburn’s office, and Cody Woods-US Representative Diane Harshbarger’s office, presented funding to HES-on behalf of Lauren Gladson. Mrs. Gladson received a STEM grant for the MAXIMUM of $5,000. There were over 450 applications, while only approximately 250 granted. HCS received 6 grants totaling $30,000 and came in 2nd for the most grants in a district. These educators are helping blaze the trail for future scientists and engineers.
