Bus 37 and bus 50 will not be running PM routes today, Tuesday, April 16th. Students who ride these buses will need to be car riders.
State testing will begin this week (April 15-19) and will continue into the following week (April 22- April 26). Testing will take place Tuesday- Thursday, and make-up testing will be completed on Mondays/Fridays. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest the night before, eats breakfast, and that they arrive to school on time each day as anyone who is tardy will not be allowed to enter into the testing area. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher.
Attention 4th and 5th grade students: Anyone who wishes to participate in the 4-H poster contest needs to bring their completed posters to school tomorrow, Monday, April 15th. Posters will be picked up by the 4-H officers tomorrow morning. Students who wish to complete a digital poster may also do so using Google or Canva. HCS Transportation: Due to the excessive rain and possible debris on the roads tomorrow morning buses will only go on roads that are safe to travel on. Please check the Hawkins County website for bus routes changes. We will try to update as information comes in regarding unsafe roads.
Due to the threat of potential high wind and thunderstorms, the Second Harvest Food Distribution scheduled for today has been moved to next Thursday April 18. The distributions will be scheduled for the same times at Cherokee and Volunteer High School. There is no need to reregister.
